I FIXED THE PROBLEM. Has a bright light and alarm on feeder!!
After some trial and error, I was able to get the alarm and light turned off. It took a few days to get the birds to come to the feeder, but they are beginning to check it out. I am looking forward to getting a birds eye view of our feathered friends.

I wasn’t planning to buy a “holiday themed” feeder, but the Christmas colors won me over. It fits right in with my decorations, and the birds don’t seem to mind at all. What I really like is how sharp the video is, even when birds are a bit farther from the feeder. Night vision is decent too. The added nectar container is a thoughtful improvement—finally getting hummingbirds to show up.

Mom loves it!
I bought this as a gift for my mom. She already had a regular feeder, but this one is definitely more fun for her. The app notifications actually work, and she enjoys checking which species showed up.
The big capacity is helpful because she doesn’t have to refill it every day. The solar panel seems to be doing its job so far. She told me the water tray has brought a few new birds she didn’t see before. So far, worth the gift.

Solid Beginner Feeder
Beautiful and solid birdfeeder that is well crafted using bamboo wood and should wear well over time. Especially like the latched roof that flips up to add seed. Slight limitation is relatively small seed area with useful capacity further reduced by a flat camera housing area roof that prevents gravity drop of seed from on top of this area. While the camera has acceptable focus and clarity in the immediate field of view (i.e. feeding birds on perch which is the primary subject of interest), the background scene beyond lacks focus and is somewhat blurry. That being said, because the camera housing area is a bit larger than the provided camera (and even uses attached foam blocks to reduce the cavity size to hold the camera) and the solar panel cable is inserted through a hole drilled in the back of the housing, it would easy to upgrade to a better comparably sized camera and matching solar panel (e.g. Arlo) if desired. Overall, at a modest price point, the feeder itself is a very good value for beginners that can be improved over time with a little DIY.
